Weekly Progress Reports
One of our biggest frustrations with traditional tutoring methods is that the parents have no way of keeping track of what gets covered during their child's tutoring sessions, other than a brief "Uhhh, tutoring was good." So we started sending parents Weekly Progress Reports. These reports provide a short summary of what our tutors covered with your child, as well as some academic strengths and areas of growth for your student. This lets you easily stay informed about your child's academic progress.
Our Story
Ekoniak Tutoring & Coaching was founded by Keaton Ekoniak in 2023, but he noticed learning inefficiencies in the classroom long before that. As he progressed through high school and college at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), he noticed that schools focus heavily on teaching academic content but rarely teach students how to learn. Keaton believes - along with Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child - that just as math, science, and English need to be taught, so do the Executive Functioning skills that enable us to improve our ability to learn and navigate everyday life.
With this in mind, Ekoniak Tutoring & Coaching was born. Keaton's goal isn't just to deliver tutoring services in Menlo Park, CA that help students improve their course grades or gain a better understanding of school subjects; He wants to help young students develop the fundamental learning skills that are often overlooked in a classroom setting, such as Time Management, Organization, Note-Taking, and Study Habits.
That is why Ekoniak Tutors are trained to provide both Subject Tutoring and Executive Function Coaching. Because we believe that these are the two foundational components of a successful student.
