Started in 2023 by Keaton Ekoniak, a graduate from the University of Michigan, Ekoniak Tutoring offers comprehensive tutoring services that go beyond traditional academic support. We understand that each student learns differently, which is why we provide a range of tutoring options to cater to diverse learning styles. From subject tutoring to executive function coaching, and from in-person to virtual tutoring, our Ekoniak Tutors are dedicated to helping students succeed academically and personally. 

Executive function refers to a set of mental skills that help individuals manage time, pay attention, switch focus, plan and organize, and remember details. These skills are crucial for success in school, work, and daily life. In fact, according to Harvard University's Center on the Developing Child, executive functioning skills are just as important for academic growth as subject material comprehension. We noticed that public schools often don't focus on building these skills for their students, so we made it our mission to incorporate executive functioning coaching into our traditional subject tutoring offerings. 

We offer executive function help for a variety of skills, such as planning ahead, organization, time management, goal-setting, note-taking and study habits. We believe that these are the most important skills that students need to master before pursuing a secondary education. Even more importantly, these are all skills that adults need to navigate everyday life.
